The precipitation of the past days and the increased humidity have reduced the risk of forest fire in the short term. The absolute ban on fire in the forest and near the forest is therefore lifted by Friday, 11 September 2026, at 12.00 o'clock. From this date on, a conditional ban on fire in the forest and near the forest applies throughout the canton of Basel-Stadt. Fire can still only be lit at fixed fire sites.
