- On Sunday, The Rajasthan Anti-Gangster Task Force arrested two alleged sharp-shooters linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in Jodhpur, with officials stating the pair allegedly planned to attack a businessman in the Marwar region.
- Identified as Jaskaran Singh and Rajinder Singh from Punjab, the men faced twelve criminal charges including murder and assault; The Punjab Police had previously announced a Rs 5 lakh reward for information leading to their arrest.
- Acting on a tip-off, an AGTF team raided the Hotel Suncity Inn, recovering 83 grams of opium derivative, a revolver, Rs 88,100 in cash, and fake Aadhaar cards from the suspects' possession.
- Following earlier murders, the gang members fled to Nepal one-and-a-half years ago and recently returned to India via Madhya Pradesh, according to Additional Superintendent of Police Siddhant Sharma, before ending up in Rajasthan.
- Interrogations are underway to determine the purpose of the visit to Jodhpur, after the suspects initially attempted to mislead officers by providing false identities before their true backgrounds were confirmed.
