Aaron Judge Still Waiting for More Scans, No Update on Yankees Captain's Stress Fracture in Rib
Aaron Judge has not had updated imaging since going on the injured list with a stress fracture of his right rib, the Yankees said.
New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge is approaching four weeks on the injured list with a stress fracture of his right rib, yet the team has not conducted updated scans.
When The Yankees placed Judge on the injured list June 5, officials planned for limited activity before re-evaluation and additional imaging in four to six weeks. He met with a specialist following a CT scan and MRI.
The Yankees began without Judge hitting.248 with 17 homers and 38 RBIs, posting a 12-14 record. New York won nine of its first 13 games without him but entered Wednesday in a six-game losing streak.
"I've got nothing for you," Judge said before The Yankees faced the Tigers. He noted players must wait on images and promised a proper update once further imaging is completed.
Including a stint on the COVID-19 injured list in Jul 2021, Judge is on the injured list for the 10th time since debuting Aug 13, 2016. He previously missed 54 games in 2019 and 42 games in 2023.
