Veteran actor Pradeep Rawat, best known for roles in Mahabharat, Lagaan, and Ghajini, passed away at 74. Aamir Khan arrived at a Mumbai crematorium on Wednesday to pay his final respects.
Rawat enjoyed a successful career spanning Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam cinema. He earned recognition for memorable performances as Ashwatthama in Mahabharat, Deva Singh Sodhi in Lagaan, and Ghajini Dharmatma in Ghajini.
Reports suggest Rawat underwent treatment at Kokilaben Hospital while battling Stage 4 cancer. The actor famously stated he never feared death, saying "My courage&."
Salman Khan expressed condolences on social media, posting a photo with Rawat from the film Baaghi. Khan recalled sharing many good moments with the actor during their work together.
Rawat is survived by his wife, Kalyani Rawat, and their son, Vikramaditya Rawat. The family largely stayed away from the spotlight, preferring to lead a private life.
