Firefighters extinguished a fire in a three-story house in Aša on Saturday evening. The fire was in the basement and residents were unable to leave their apartments for some time due to smoke. Rescuers transported four adults and two children to the hospital in Cheb.

A three-story house caught fire in Aš early Saturday evening. Firefighters evacuated 13 people. The fire started in the basement. However, the residents of the house were unable to leave the building due to the smoke, said Martin Kasal, a spokesman for the regional fire department. German colleagues also helped the local firefighters.
