The Hungarian Energy and Public Utilities Regulatory Authority (MEKH) has announced a tender for the construction of new wind farms and the expansion of the capacity of existing units, with a total of 702 megavoltamperes (MVA) of free capacity on the medium and high voltage grid being allocated to the winning investors.
A new chapter may open in the history of Hungarian wind energy: the tender for the establishment and expansion of wind power capacity has been announced. A total of 702 megavolt-amperes of capacity will be allocated at nine network nodes, and applications can be submitted until October 30.
From the beginning of September to the end of October, the opportunity to establish and expand wind power capacity is open.
Hungary can take another big step towards the spread of wind power plants. Investors can apply for nine network nodes in six districts.
