At approximately 12:45 a.m. on the 25th, a collision occurred between a taxi and a motorcycle on National Route 58 in Yafuso, Urasoe City. According to the Urasoe Police Station, the 21-year-old male U.S. Marine who was driving the motorcycle was transported to the hospital in an unconscious state, but was pronounced dead at approximately 1:30 a.m.
