A teacher from Lyon 2 was taken to court this Tuesday, April 1st, for his remarks on a Ramadan evening prohibited by the university. An investigation was opened.
At the University of Lyon-2, the course of geographer Fabrice Balanche was interrupted by some fifteen students and pro-Palestinian demonstrators on Tuesday, April 1. They reproached the teacher-researcher for having greeted the ban on a break in Ramadan fasting in a campus room a few days earlier.
Fabrice Balanche, lecturer at the Lumière Lyon 2 University, left her class on Tuesday, April 1, after several people took part in the amphitheatre. They criticized her for criticizing the holding of an evening of breaking the Ramadan fast on campus.
