Mayor Gergely Karácsony, Krisztina Baranyi, Mayor of Ferencváros and Dávid Vitézy would join forces to blackmail the government by restricting public transportation on the state foundation day. Zsolt Wintermantel, an expert at Budapest Workshop, put it this way: Vitézy says yes to the pride, but no to the August 20 celebration.
Budapest's emergency scenario is ready, which would shut down public transport for half a day on August 20th - Gergely Karácsony backed out of the proposal involving MVM and MOL at the last minute, citing legal reasons.
