At an informal meeting of EU ministers for European affairs held in Lviv, it was stated that in the face of Hungary's blocking, all technical work on Ukraine's accession to the European Union would be done in advance.
The European Union on Thursday handed Ukraine a long list of reforms needed to join the EU. The AP reported that the EU is determined to move Ukraine's accession process forward despite the ongoing war unleashed by Russia and objections from one of its members, Hungary. EU membership has become a central goal in Ukraine's efforts to anchor itself in the West. Ukraine's prospects for NATO membership are stagnant.
