MALDEN, WV (WOWK) - A person was struck by a train in Malden Sunday afternoon. According to Kanawha County Metro 911, the incident happened just before 12:30 p.m. Sunday in the 4400 block of Planters Drive in Malden. The Kanawha County Sheriff's office says the pedestrian has been taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The KCSO also says the person was conscious and alert. The scene has been cleared at this time.
