A New Book Uncovers Kabbalistic Underpinnings in Russian Poetry

In Russia, a book was recently published about the popularity of Kabbalah in Russian culture during the first third of the 20th century, especially in St. Petersburg. The book, "Looking for the Zephyr", was written by Konstantin Burmistrov, a researcher of Jewish philosophy. "Zefiree" is a neologism of the poet Andrey Beli, coined on the basis of "Sefirot" - the hidden inner land of poetic and visionary enthusiasm.
