A bald eagle named Spirit is giving a hand — or a claw, if you prefer — to the patient #26-519 at the Ojai Raptor Center. The wildlife rehabilitation center is located some distance from Kern County Zoo, the place where Spirit has lived for several years, but in times of need, wildlife advocates and bird experts travel the distance, act quickly and make sure that "a bald eagle in distress" gets all the help it needs.
