A solar halo, a circular, rainbow-like circle around the sun, was observed in Kadena Town at around 11:10 a.m. on the 24th. According to the Okinawa Meteorological Observatory, clouds formed due to winds around Typhoon No. 12, which formed east of the Philippines at 3 a.m. that day, and a thin, veil-like cloud spread over the skies above Okinawa Island.
