PESEL numbers, which may have been leaked during the cyberattack on MyDr, can now be checked on the government website, bezpieczdane.gov.pl. The data breach affects approximately 19 million Poles, including information about medications and prescriptions. The website only allows users to check whether a given PESEL number is included in the database. The relevant clinics or medical offices will provide information on the scope of the stolen data.
In early August, the Ministry of Digital Affairs confirmed that MyDr had suffered a massive breach of medical data, affecting 19 million Poles. The government's Secure Data website is designed to help verify whether your PESEL number and other sensitive information were among them. However, demand is so high that you have to wait in line to access it.
A government website has been launched, allowing you to check whether your data was among those stolen during the cyberattack on MyDr systems. As Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski announced on August 12, the incident affected nearly 19 million citizens.
