The debt of Romania's public administration increased in November 2025 to 1,121 billion hers, from 1,116 billion hers last month, according to the data published by the Ministry of Finance, consulted by Digi24.ro.
For the first time after the Revolution, the debt of the Romanian state exceeded the threshold of 60% of gross domestic product. Governments in recent years have contributed to this because they have loaned more than ever.
