After years of vacancy and decay, Victor Horta's gymnasium in Vilvoorde has been restored to perfection. Horta designed the hall in 1904-1905 for the progressive school where his daughter took lessons and where he met his second wife. The surprisingly light, high-ceilinged hall is now being used again by the academy's dancers and is open to visitors for the first time on Open Monument Day tomorrow.
