The defendant confessed to stabbing a randomly selected 60-year-old pedestrian in the center of Sušice last June after drinking alcohol. The man survived only thanks to timely and specialized medical assistance. According to the indictment, Chmura's motive for his actions was an attempt to get back into prison.
