Thousands of dollars in cash and gift cards that were seized from a former Massachusetts police officer convicted of bribery were forfeited to the federal government. Christopher Ponzo, a 51-year-old North Reading resident, was an auxiliary police officer in Stoneham who pleaded guilty in 2024 to wire fraud charges stemming from a bribery scheme that earned his company tens of millions of dollars.
