A Final Salute: Former sheriff D.C. Ramsey dies at 85

NEWPORT — Former Cocke County Sheriff D.C. Ramsey died Thursday, April 10. He was 85.

Former Ajax player Kees Smit has passed away at the age of 85, Ajax announced on Wednesday via official channels. Smit played for the Amsterdam club between 1959 and 1964. As a defender, he played more than eighty matches for the club during those years. 'Ajax would like to extend its deepest condolences to Smit's relatives.
