Fishing is still tough, but salmon seem to be more interested in taking the fly following the recent rainfall… 19 August On Beat 9, Eugene McCarthy landed a 3lbs salmon in the Falls Pool on a Sunray and Hamish Macauley landed a 4lbs salmon in the Falls and a 5lbs salmon in the Garden Pool on a Willie Gunn. 20 August Connor O’Leary landed a 4lbs salmon in the Gauge Pool on beat 9 using a Cascade. 23 August Connor Graham landed a 3 ½ lbs and a 4 ½ lbs salmon in the Coronation Pool on Beat 8 fishing a Willie Gunn. 27 August Garrett McGuinness landed a 4lbs salmon in the Garden Pool on Beat 9. 31 August Charlie De Burgh landed a 1lbs sea trout in the Garden Pool on a Jungle Badger on Beat 9. 1 September Charlie De Burgh was out again and landed a 5lbs salmon in the Garden Pool and a ½ lbs sea trout in the Falls Pool on Beat 9 3 September Teddy Coulter landed a 11lbs salmon and 2 ¾ lbs sea trout in the Washing Pool on Beat 4, he also landed a 1lbs sea trout and 2 ¾ lbs sea trout in the School House pool on Beat 3. 5 September Declan Convery landed a 10lbs salmon in the Coronation Pool on Beat 8 using a McCormick Shrimp. 6 September Teddy Coulter was back for more and landed a 6lbs salmon on Beat 3 using a Willie Gunn.
