- The family lives without mains utilities and relied on solar panels, fireplaces, well water, an outdoor composting toilet, and homeschooled children with little social contact, which the court flagged as harmful.
- Patrol cars removed the children from the Abruzzo home to a church-run care facility while the mother remains at the property with limited access and Giovanni Angelucci, family lawyer, is preparing an appeal next week.
