A decade on from the Brexit referendum, the question of what Britain’s relationship with the European Union should look like is again at the forefront of the government’s agenda. Keir Starmer has repeatedly signalled he wants closer ties with Europe, from the economy to defence and security, but has not yet said what that will look like. And several recent polls suggest more than half of Britons now support rejoining the EU.
