Roswell celebrates $3.1M Roswell Area Park Pond upgrade

Roswell held a ribbon-cutting Sept. 10 for $3.1 million in improvements to the Roswell Area Park Pond, including dredging, a new retaining wall, deeper water for fish habitat and native plantings. The city plans to add 15,000 fish. Funded by the 2022 voter-approved bond program, the project also drew praise from Mayor Mary Robichaux and residents at the ceremony.

Roswell Area Park in Georgia has reopened its 1950s farm pond after a $3.1 million restoration. The project rebuilt the embankment, upgraded stormwater infrastructure, removed decades of sediment, restored the walking trail and added 35 trees and turtle habitat. The pond manages runoff from a 52-acre drainage area.
