National Economic Council meeting - 10 June 2026

The session of the National Economic Council (NEC) has started with Prime Minister (PM) Shehbaz Sharif in chair, to discuss development program for next financial year 2026-27.

Crucial NEC meeting commences

After several delays, the meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC), chaired by Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, commenced on Wednesday. The NEC is Pakistan’s highest constitutional forum for economic planning and coordination between the federal and provincial governments.
