$9.19-million Porsche Carrera GT doubles prior auction record
A 2005 Porsche Carrera GT collected more than double the previous record auction price for the model when it sold for US$6.715 million – equal to about CDN$9.19 million – at Broad Arrow's Amelia Island event earlier this month. What's more, it was one of more than a dozen classics and supercars at the March 6 and 7 sale to set similar new high-water marks for their respective marques or models.
