During the eight days of the Sziget Festival, ten inspectors conducted nearly 400 inspections of taxis in two shifts, of which official reports were drawn up in 164 cases, and in 89 of these cases, some kind of irregularity was observed, the Budapest Transport Center (BKK) told MTI on Friday.
Out of 400 inspections, 89 taxis were found to have irregularities during the Sziget Festival. Some charged fares much higher than the official price specified in the law, or taxi drivers set the fare in advance.
