Trump says Venezuelan airspace should be considered closed
Trump ordered closure of Venezuelan airspace amid U.S. strikes on suspected drug traffickers; more than 80 killed since September, escalating regional tensions, officials said.

- The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration last week warned major airlines to exercise caution due to worsened security and more than a dozen U.S. warships and 15,000 troops are deployed under Operation Southern Spear.
- U.S. forces have struck over 20 Venezuelan vessels since early September, killing at least 83 people, according to Reuters, while Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth defended the strikes as lawful.
