Grandmother, 83, Died With Hands Clasped in Prayer After Family Says She Was Euthanised Against Her Will
- Brigitte Stegemann, 83, died during a Medical Assistance in Dying procedure in Ontario on July 10.
- Her granddaughter, Brigitte Kranendonk, alleges that Stegemann opposed MAiD, appeared confused during her assessment, and cried, “I’ve made a mistake” two days before the procedure.
