Ukrainians and other foreigners in Poland participating in the 800+ programme and receiving a monthly child allowance of 800 zlotys (approximately 9,400 hryvnias) warned of additional checks.
ZUS can suddenly suspend the payment of money per child from 800 plus. In addition, the Office verifies whether parents meet the conditions for receiving the benefit, and in the case of foreigners, checks, among others, data on residence in Poland and crossing the border. If the ZUS does not find confirmation in the state registers, the parent may be called to submit explanations and provide evidence.
In Poland, inspections of foreigners receiving benefits for 800+ children have been tightened. If ZUS cannot confirm residence in the country or other conditions, the payment may be temporarily suspended.
The Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) has issued a new announcement regarding possible reasons for withholding the 800+ benefit from foreigners. Individuals who are not Polish citizens must meet additional requirements to retain or obtain eligibility for this benefit. If any documentation is missing, the beneficiary will receive a special application from ZUS.
