80 years ago, Pilsen experienced the most massive air raid that residents have experienced since the beginning of World War II. On the night of 17 April 1945, bombs from more than two hundred bombers fell on the marshalling and main railway stations in Pilsen. Thus, the Allies wanted to make it as difficult as possible for the fleeing Nazis to retreat.
