- Lead author Dr. Sam Eriksen of the University of Bristol described the finding as the "most compelling hint reported to date," though he cautioned that the single event does not yet meet the five-sigma threshold required for an official discovery.
- Theoretical physicist Professor Nicole Bell noted the observation is "interesting," but confirmation requires more data; the collaboration will continue collecting information through 2028 according to Dr. Theresa Fruth.
