Spurs Celebrate Ending Chelsea Hoodoo with 2-0 Win

On Saturday, October 24, 2026, Tottenham Hotspur secured a rare 2-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, marking their first win at the venue since 2018.
Manager Roberto De Zerbi aimed to shift Tottenham's mentality after a difficult season start, building momentum following their first league win against Coventry on Monday.
Chelsea goalkeeper Mike Penders punched a corner into his own net in the 77th minute, while Cole Palmer was sent off for two yellow cards before Mathys Tel sealed victory in the 87th minute.
James Maddison left the pitch with a groin injury early in the second half, forcing De Zerbi to make a substitution despite the midfielder's return to the starting lineup.
Chelsea manager Xabi Alonso faces questions on squad discipline after Palmer's dismissal, with this marking his first home defeat at the club since taking charge.
