7/8/25 - ILB stops exercise to aid Windsurfer - EXMOUTH RNLI

At 13.48 HM Coastguard requested our D Class lifeboat, George Bearman II, to assist a windsurfer. The inshore lifeboat and its volunteer crew of four were on exercise at the time on the River Exe.The exercise was halted and the crew proceeded to the reported casualty near number 8 buoy.  On locating the windsurfer, the Exmouth RNLI crew were able to communicate with the windsurfer who confirmed that, although they had lost the wind, they were ha…
