50 million paid to Barbados | Les Rémillard win against the tax authorities

The tax authorities have just lost an important battle against the family of the former waste management magnate Lucien Rémillard, who has become a “non-resident tax resident” of Barbados. The Canadian Tax Court has just validated the payment of more than 50 million dollars that his family trust made to him, avoiding ten million in taxes, plus interest in the process.
