Lisbon shaken by 4.7-magnitude earthquake
did you feel that little wobble earlier in Portugal? Lisbon had a bit of a shake today, a 4.7 earthquake, just after lunch, around 1:24 pm. The epicenter of the earthquake, which occurred at 13.24 local time (14.24 Spanish peninsular time), was located 14 kilometers south-west of Seixal, on the outskirts of the capital and on the other bank of the Tagus river
The Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) has located the epicenter about 14 km off the coast of Seixal, in the district of Setúbal
According to the Android Earthquake Alerts System, the earthquake occurred at 1:24 p.m.


Several people felt the earth shaking in Lisbon around 13:24. An earthquake measuring 4.7 on the Richter scale was recorded according to the IPMA.
