45-year-old inmate dies at York County Detention Center; SLED conducting investigation

YORK, S.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) -- An inmate at the York County Detention Center died Wednesday afternoon, the sheriff’s office reported.  Detention officers say shortly after 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, the jail staff found the inmate, a 45-year-old male, unresponsive in his cell.
