4 found dead in murder-suicide in Bronx apartment: Sources
Four adults, all showing signs of trauma and linked by acquaintances, were found dead in a public housing apartment in an incident NYPD describes as an apparent murder-suicide.
At about 9:45 a.m. on Nov. 5, NYPD officials discovered four adults dead in a Bronx apartment, an apparent murder-suicide inside a fifth-floor apartment at the Castle Hill Houses, 2225 Lacombe Ave.
Acquaintances of the victims visited for a wellness check, found four deceased, and called 911, prompting a response from the 43rd Precinct.
Responding officers found a 75-year-old woman, 44-year-old man, 26-year-old woman and man in his 20s in separate parts of the apartment, all showing body trauma and a gun recovered at the scene.
The deaths left the local community in shock with residents gathering to grieve and a victim's mother helped from the building, and officials said the city medical examiner will determine cause of death.
This section of the Bronx experiences, authorities report no signs of forced entry, and the investigation remains ongoing.
