The 26-year-old double-kicked and stomped the leader jersey in the general classification.

Axel Zingle hit hard from the start. The French rider of the Visma-Lease a Bike team won in the sprint the first stage of the Four Days of Dunkirk, on Wednesday 14 May, between Arras and Amiens. A tense opening on a flat course of more than 170 km, marked by a massive finish in Picardia.
