A trooper, a child, and a 33-year-old man were sent to hospitals Friday morning after a crash on Interstate 485 in south Charlotte, officials with the North Carolina State Highway Patrol said.

CHARLOTTE, NC – A driver faces charges after investigators say he ran into a parked State Highway Patrol SUV on I-485 Friday morning. The wreck shutdown part of the outer loop near South Boulevard for several hours during the morning rush.
