- This past week, the South Carolina Department of Public Health reported 558 confirmed cases in the Upstate outbreak, with 531 people in quarantine and 85 in isolation, centered in Spartanburg County.
- NCDHHS says the outbreak, centered in Spartanburg County, began with cases reported in October and has grown rapidly since the holidays, with 93% unvaccinated and 483 unvaccinated cases.
- DPH named several Upstate businesses and schools where exposures occurred, including Walmart, 203 Cedar Springs Road, Wash Depot, 2177 S. Pine Street, Bintime Spartanburg, 445 S. Blackstock Road, and quarantines at Holly Springs-Motlow Elementary and Campobello Gramling School .
- Health officials emphasized, `It is important to check with your health care provider to ensure you are current with all your vaccines`, as NCDHHS launched a Measles Cases and Outbreaks Dashboard updated twice weekly.
