Vilnius City District Court has found 26 members of an organized group guilty of profiting from prostitution, robbery, public order violations, and causing physical pain, the Prosecutor General's Office announced on Friday.
After examining a criminal case in which charges of profiting from prostitution, robberies, public order violations, causing physical pain and other crimes were brought against 26 people acting in an organized group, the Vilnius City District Court found all defendants guilty by a ruling of July 31. The defendants were sentenced to various terms of imprisonment, fines, and more than 500,000 euros in cash and other property were confiscated.
In Istanbul, 28 suspects detained in an operation targeting 7 separate organized armed crime groups found to be involved in numerous different crimes were referred to the courthouse.
