Thessaloniki motorist arrested for smashing speed limit
Police in Thessaloniki early Sunday arrested a motorist for driving at twice the legal speed limit on the national highway, amid a protracted crackdown on highway code breaches following the introduction of harsher penalties for dangerous driving.
The young driver was detected by a speed control device (radar) moving near Sindos in his private car, at 171 km/h instead of 80 km/h.

A 24-year-old man was arrested in the early hours of today (8/3) by police officers of the Thessaloniki Traffic Police Sub-Directorate, at the Athens-Thessaloniki P.A.T.E.
