A 23-year-old German man fell approximately 20 meters into a hidden crevasse on Wednesday afternoon while hiking on the Wildspitze mountain in the municipality of Sölden, Tyrol (Imst district), in the area of the Taschachferner glacier. The young man was briefly unconscious and was subsequently rescued from the crevasse by mountain rescuers, a paramedic, and a police helicopter crew. He was airlifted to a hospital with injuries.
