2027 Toyota Tundra Adds Trailhunter Package
The SR5 option adds factory off-road hardware, bronze wheels and Toyota Audio Multimedia upgrades while keeping the Tundra gas-only and below TRD Pro pricing.
- On Tuesday, July 21, 2026, Toyota announced updates for its third-generation XK70 Toyota Tundra, including a new Trailhunter package for the SR5 grade with enhanced capability.
- Designed for enhanced trail performance, the Trailhunter option features Old Man Emu suspension, underbody protection, and Michelin LTX Trail 265/70 tires mounted on 18-inch wheels.
- Inside, the vehicle introduces the Toyota Audio Multimedia system featuring a standard 14-inch screen, 5G connectivity, and a "smartphone-like design that offers customizable widgets on its new home screen."
- Unlike the Tacoma or 4Runner, the Tundra SR5 exclusively utilizes a gas-only, twin-turbo, 3.4-liter V6 powertrain producing 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque.
- Pricing will be revealed this fall, closer to market release, while the updated 2027 Tundra includes an improved Toyota Safety Sense package across all grades.
