2 injured when rental truck hits utility pole in Dixmont

Two people were taken to a hospital Friday evening after the rental truck they were in crashed into a utility pole in the town of Dixmont. The “serious” crash was reported at 7:10 p.m. on Route 9 at the Newburgh town line, the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
