Nine Kazakh soldiers have died during a naval exercise after being swept into the sea by a wave. The incident occurred in the Mangystau region of West Kazakhstan on the coast of the Caspian Sea. The Kazakh Defense Ministry reported the tragedy on Thursday. There were 19 soldiers on board, three of whom were rescued. The search for the others is ongoing.
