A serious accident occurred at kilometer 12 of the Caborca–Y Griega highway, where a passenger bus was struck by a platform, leaving 14 people injured. The injured were taken to the IMSS-Bienestar hospital for medical attention. According to initial reports, four people had moderate injuries and ten had minor injuries.
