Bose's New QuietComfort Headphones Get Spatial Audio and USB-C Lossless for $359
The $359 over-ear model adds TrueSpatial spatial audio, 24-bit/48kHz USB-C lossless playback and adaptive six-microphone noise cancellation.
- On Thursday, Bose unveiled the QuietComfort Headphones , introducing Bose Immersive Audio and lossless USB-C playback to its midrange line at $359, with preorders opening August 8.
- This release marks the first major update to the QuietComfort series in nearly three years, as Bose bridged the performance gap with its flagship QuietComfort Ultra by integrating proprietary audio technologies into the midrange offering.
- TrueSpatial technology places listeners in the "sweet spot" of a classic two-channel system, while the six-microphone ActiveSense system "responds more naturally to sudden spikes of noise" in Aware Mode. The headphones support 24-bit/48kHz lossless USB-C audio.
- Redesigned with oval-shaped earcups and plush synthetic leather, the headphones maintain up to 24 hours of battery life. Shipping begins August 13 in Black, White Smoke, and limited-edition colors including Eucalyptus Green, Dewdrop Mint, and Rosewood Mauve.
- These enhancements position the QuietComfort Headphones as a versatile midrange option at $359, $90 below the Ultra model. Bose continues expanding TrueSpatial and immersive audio across both flagship and midrange hardware.
