Employers wishing to hire migrant workers will henceforth have to pay a fee of 180 euros per application. According to Flemish Minister of Employment Zuhal Demir (N-VA), this is intended to financially anchor the system and ensure short processing times. “Anyone wishing to hire migrant workers will henceforth assume financial responsibility themselves,” she says.
